what we do
We are a non-profit Community Interest Group dedicated to supporting people in their everyday lives by bringing neighbours together through regular, welcoming activities designed to be as inclusive as possible. Our weekly coffee morning, home to over 30 regulars, feels like one big, cheerful family. We keep the good times rolling with a lively quiz night and a board-game evening that sparks friendly rivalry and new friendships. Coming soon: a musician night to add live tunes and creativity to our calendar. Always eager to grow, we welcome new members, volunteers, and ideas to help our community thrive.
IMPACT SNAPSHOT
Have a nose at the figure from last (financial) year ! WOW!
We are aiming for bigger and better this year.
These numbers tell so many different stories, and we’re incredibly proud of the support we’ve provided to so many people. We checked the figures more than once because they’re so impressive! We truly make the most of every group, and none of this would be possible without you. Thank you all!
Food support is currently on hold whilst we arrange a new location
INCLUSIVENESS matters
At The Owen Project, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, participate and feel included. No matter their age, ability or individual needs. We celebrate what makes each person unique and work to create welcoming experiences where people can feel valued, supported and confident to be themselves.
Being a supportive environment is extremely important with a high percentage of volunteers and service users who are neurodivergent, struggle with mental health or are physically less able bodied.
We are always learning and developing our spaces to become a place suited to everyone. If you see something and have an idea on how we can improve please let us know!
Thank you to Support Staffordshire for their continued support.
